"Had a devil of a time dealing with NYS-DMV to cancel my NYS car registration (when I moved out of state). I had to mail them ("surrender") my plates (ridiculous requirement) , and then wait for them to snail-mail me a "plates surrendered" form confirming receipt of the plates ---a form my NYS car ins agent had to see before they could cancel my car insurance and give me my refund. To add to the absurdity, even tho I gave DMV my new address when I returned the plates, they said, by law, they had to mail the receipt to my OLD address, which meant I'd have to wait for it to be forwarded to me at my new address, which is a dicey process--unnecessarily delaying my ability to cancel old and buy new insurance. Throughout this nightmare, I had wonderful support and help from the staff in the Mahoney insurance office on Carman Road...particularly from Kelly, who patiently stuck with me through my frustrations dealing with the DMV. NYS has got to do something about their bureaucratic hoops. (No wonder Trump and his barn-burners won!) So I hereby unreservedly praise and recommend the S Mahoney insurance agency. Kudos!"
